What guests say

Ninety-six reviews. Ninety-six five stars.

Not an average of five. A distribution of five — every single review Naiko Retreat has ever received on Google is a five. That is unusual enough to be worth showing you the shape of it.

Every quote on this site is real and attributed. Where the reviewer's name is not public, it says so rather than inventing one.

We were lucky enough to visit Naiko once more, and enjoyed lovely walking weather, many dolphins enjoying the aquamarine waters, kangaroos, sheep, birds… beautiful skies and astounding views across to Kangaroo Island. Naiko is such an easy and comfortable escape from the city we could easily imagine ourselves staying for much longer.

Secluded paradise with the most spectacular view of KI. The private beach is delightful and the amenities are well-appointed. Bucket list item ticked off for sure!

For low impact luxury, the three-bedroom Naiko Retreat is hard to beat.

Unimpeded views over the Fleurieu Peninsula and Kangaroo Island are complemented by gorgeous modern design.

By far one of the most beautiful and well-presented properties I've stayed in.

Guest reviewQuoted by Sirvoy, January 2023

As far as complete seclusion, privacy, and incredible views go, Naiko Retreat is hard to beat. Perched high up on the Fleurieu coastline, with only kangaroos for neighbours, time slows down and you breathe a little deeper here.

Plotted from real coordinates, so the bearings and the distances between points hold. The coastline is deliberately not drawn — approximating the shape of a real place and presenting it as a map is how maps start lying.

They are close enough that people do both in a week and far enough apart that they are not the same holiday. The Retreat is at the end of the peninsula with the last six kilometres unsealed. The Villa is ten minutes above Victor Harbor, with a bakery, a pub and a beach in walking distance of the car.
