Note on the files

These are as sharp as the published originals allow

Naiko's photography online tops out at 1500 pixels wide, and the Villa's at 800. Everything here has been restored and enlarged from those files, which holds up well at the sizes used on this site. The masters from the photographers would be visibly better again on a retina screen, and they are the first thing worth asking for.

Two houses, one coastline

They are close enough that people do both in a week and far enough apart that they are not the same holiday. The Retreat is at the end of the peninsula with the last six kilometres unsealed. The Villa is ten minutes above Victor Harbor, with a bakery, a pub and a beach in walking distance of the car.
